I noticed that Samsung Notes installed on my Windows 11 computers without any input from me.
I'm familiar with Samsung Notes on my Samsung Galaxy phone, but I find it strange that it would install on my computers without my permission.

Maybe when you connected the Samsung Galaxy phone, Windows installed Samsung Notes. Take a look at Windows update history.

Windows did not decide it. Samsung did.
When you plug in a phone, Windows doesn’t just install drivers — it often silently installs OEM companion packages if that device designates that it either requires or benefits from a companion app. Samsung Notes is now considered BY SAMSUNG to be part of the “Samsung PC Companion Suite.”
This occurance is not unique to only Samsung.

Aah, yeah, that's right. Forgot completely about that suite, and the fact that Samsung makes pretty decent laptops too. :facepalm:

Some of their companion apps/tools for PC are quite powerful.
