Why does my laptop keep asking for my Bitlocker key?

After BSOD recovery, using my bitlocker key, it continues to ask for it on each restart.
What must I do to remove this requirement please?

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\BitLocker Drive Encryption > Turn Off BitLocker > Reboot
Then if you want to continue to use BitLocker just turn it back on.

My asus pc has bitlocker option in bios, I think I remember seeing it and not turning it on.
