Why HDR makes Screen look Washed Out?

When HDR is enabled on this laptop in Win 11 settings the laptop screen look morse worse, how to fix this please?

Have you installed the Calibration tool from the Microsoft Store? You can adjust the settings to your liking.

Hi yes I installed the calibration tool however what's the correct way to calibrate it on a laptop screen? I ask because I can adjust the brightness of the laptop screen with the fn keys. Before HDR calibration what brightness should I set my laptop screen at? 50%, 100%?

I don't know whether I am in the right forum however I have a Oled 4K @ 60hz laptop VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 500 display that is 16:10. When I enable HDR in windows 11 the screen looks washed out, kind of looks like a lcd.

I have Windows HDR Calibration app however before starting this app what percentage % brightness should I set the laptop screen at for accurate testing & results?
Also in windows 11 settings there's a slider setting for HDR content brightness. What value should this be set at before starting the calibration apps?

Also I see VESA have an testing app too so should I stick to VESA app or Mircrosoft app for calibration?

Lastly where can I download the drivers for this display and also the Colour Profiles for this display or which colour profile do you guys recommend me to select for this Oled display as I cannot see any available to download on the Acer website?

Basically I'm just trying to bring out the best of this screen & optimise it when viewing HDR content while the laptop charger is plugged in & don't want windows to get in the way of what this display is capable of.
