Recently I noticed some unknown Bluetooth devices in Device Manager of my hybrid notebook/tablet Fujitsu Stylistic Q702. These were the NearbyServerSocket and the SMS/MMS device under the Other Devices. I decided to find drivers for these so I had all features of Bluetooth available. I used Snappy Driver Installer to install the missing drivers. Now there was no "other device" without drivers in Device Manager. BIG mistake! When later I tried to connect my JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth speaker I could not whatever I tried! I even tried to remove it and pair it again. It paired successfully but could not connect probably due to some conflicting Bluetooth device or protocol I had installed. As a last resort I uninstalled anything Bluetooth related in Device Manager clicking the box to also delete the drivers. I restarted my computer and reinstalled the official Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth driver nothing else. I just ignored the NearbyServerSocket and SMS/MMS devices this time. My JBL connected successfully. Even the volume and play/pause buttons worked that did not work before. So no more experiments. If Bluetooth is working fine, just forget about any unknown Bluetooth devices you see at Device Manager. If it works don't fix it!

- Legacy MBR installation, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no WDDM 2.0 graphics drivers, no SSE4.2, cannot get more unsupported ;) This is only my test laptop. I had installed Windows 11 here before upgrading my main PC. For my main PC I use everyday see my 2nd system specs.
