I want to change my password or key for my router which I can do.
After the change I can change this new key at each device.
My trouble is (after tons of research) how do I change it at the tv's like my smart Samsung and Sony?
When I follow on screen and get to my SSID and click on it there is a message that all is ok instead of an option to change the new key in place of the old like the router.
Is his because I have not yet made a change at the router and it is ok and if I make a change at the router it would then ask me for the router key/password?
I have Comcast/Xfinity as my ISP.
All I see with tutorials is a factory reset which I don't want.
All advice appreciated.

Once you make the change you have to go to the network setting on your TVs and make the changes. I have a Vizio TV so I can't give you a detailed how-to.
Edit: If my wife wasn't watching TV, I would give you a walk thru with my Vizio TV. I'm sure if you go into the Network settings it will be easy.

If I understand you correctly as long as I have not changed the master router key when I’m at the SSID there will be no option to change the password. However once I change the password at the routor then when I get to the TV and tap SSID it will likely ask me for an updated password. Let me know if this sounds correct to you please.
I would hate to tap the SSID at the TV and help and have no option to change the password.

I have my computers, TVs, Roku boxes, blue ray player and my phone connected wirelessly to my router. When I change the password on the router, I have to enter the new password on all of my devices.

Edit: forgot to mention the 3 printers.

So when I went to the SSD at the Samsung TV I could do nothing because I had not yet changed the router. I was just looking around.
It jut said my SSID and when I clicked on it, the only option, it said it was ok. Had I made a change at he router then I would likely have an opportunity to enter the correct password corresponding to the router. I did it many times just not this way.
Every video showed them resetting to factory which is not what I want. It is hard to find a video showing what I am referring to.
I have a printer, 2 phones, a Chromebook, + 2 TV's after I change the router. Using Comcast's primary account is necessary.
Do I have to switch my pc where I start to Wi-Fi from Ethernet?

If you are connecting by ethernet cable stay on Ethernet. Only use Wi-Fi if you want to hook up wirelessly. I use Wi-Fi for all my devices but one. The router is under the desk where my son's desktop computer is, so he uses an Ethernet cable.

My main computer runs an ethernet cable to the router. Should I change that to Wi-Fi for purposes of connecting all devices to Wi-Fi or should I leave it ethernet at my PC and router and then connect all devices Wi-Fi

You can leave the computer as is. You Wi-Fi devices are connecting to the router and not the computer.

When I setup a new Wi-Fi router the first thing I do is set my own password. Then I go to each Wi-Fi device and use the Wi-Fi setting on the device to connect to the new router. The device will search to see if it can connect. If not, it will ask for the password. The part I hate is using the remote to enter the password. If entered correctly the device will connect. If not, I have to start over. It's the same procedure for connecting any new devices.

On my Samsung in the menu there is a tab called Network go there to change it, It may not offer it to you until you change the router password.
Try going through you settings looking for that or something similar. On one of our TV's if you change the router key, the TV used to bring up a banner to change it. try it, you can always go back to the old key if you cannot find it

Thank you for the advice about the router and Ethernet and I'm close to doing it I had one last question I have gone through several trial missions after I have set the new password I wonder how to get back to my Comcast remote channel up channel down and volume control it seems in settings it's one mode and there is another mode perhaps source where I get back to the remote from Comcast performing these functions sometimes it seems I get stuck and cannot get back to the Comcast remote functions of volume up and down and channel selection. I wonder if exit would do it or if I have to go to source and then TV I really don't know Samsung is of no help at all neither chat nor phone nor community

I don't know if this would apply to your situation, but something I had to do at a friend's house while helping him.

Log in to the router, for now, just change the SSID (add a 1 at the end or something simple) and ONLY on the TV, select the new SSID and enter the password. Now, go back into the router, change the SSID back to what you had, and set up your new password as you wanted. Go back to the TV and when you select the old SSID it should ask for the new password instead of keeping the old one. (This may only apply to the brand tv they had, which I don't remember what it was). Next, go to all your other Wireless devices and update the passwords like normal.

Let me know what remote you have. It should be on the back of the remote. I have the XR11.
