Hello chaps
So I booted up this morning and my desktop widgets have gone. I thought that it would be an easy fix and just needed to re-enable them through task bar settings. But they don't appear in the task bar settings, it's like widgets have never existed on my system.

I have ran the usual DISM commands - restore health, SFC scannow etc but no problems have been found.
They were working fine yesterday and I haven't installed anything dodgy or messed about in the registry. The only thing that I did do yesterday was connect to 'Echo Show' via Bluetooth. I wouldn't expect that to break widgets but removed the device anyway. No help though.
To be fair I'm not too fussed about losing widgets and am not going to reset the laptop on the off chance that it will come back again. I'm just curious to find out if anybody else has has this problem and resolved it.
Cheers,
Bill
