Ah yes, I forgot about that. It offers to load a driver at the point where network connectivity is needed.

I forget, because I NEVER install with a MS account, even when I intend to use one later. The last time I installed with a MS account during initial setup was years ago :-)

Ditto! I can add it anytime, but it's much harder to release it's tentacles once it's embeds itself. :LOL:

I agree about the MS account and, if it was me, I'd use a Local. My daughter, however, gets 365 free for the duration of her course, and needs Teams etc. When she is finished another clean install would be in order. Thanks again for all your help. Mitch.

Just had a thought. We use Macrium Reflect as backup. If things were problematic and I had deleted all partitions can I restore the system using Reflect or is it passed that point by then. I have the Macrium Boot Menu set up and USB Rescue Media. Before the Clean Install I would have uninstalled Reflect and removed the licence. Thanks Mitch.
