Win 10 Style Start Menu

Hi all
just jumped to Eleven, feeling my way around. i don't like this Start menu, i have things like Word but when i right click i just get right click options ~ how can i go back to getting a list of previously opened docs? i far preferred Ten's pane of pinned apps that had this functionality.

I agree Start11 (in my opinion) is the best for start menu replacement and imitating previous versions of Windows. But as you possibly may know, I don’t think the actions the OP are looking for are a part of that. Meaning contact menu shell actions like open with word or edit with word etc.

Perhaps you have the right click “Show More Options” enabled.

If you disable show more options, you will see more options in the right click menu. Currently they will be hiding in “Show More Options” at the bottom of the context menu.

if you want the win 10 start menu, you have a few options:
Start11
ExplorerPatcher
Windhawk

if you just want a jumplist of recent files in the start menu:
settings > personalization > start > show recently opened items in start,...
then you can click on "More" on the start menu bottom segment to view a full list of recent files

The thing that baffles me is, most jump lists don't work, yet they'd rather you pick up recently opened items from a section far removed from the associated program! 🤷‍♂️
