win 11 Lockup and cntr alt del no go

windows 11 home
Reasonably new win 11 home HP laptop occasionally locks up, but interestingly cursor still moves around when using the touchpad, but nothing responds including cntrl alt delete. I have to hold the power button for a bit then restart. Any ideas what is occurring and on how to proceed if it is to happen again ? Thanks. SFC verifyonly shows no errors upon restart.

The cause of the freeze you mention could be a myriad of things.
Your lack of system specs in your profile and the info you provided in your post don't say much either.

I am thinking it is something to do with the duck duck browser which has been somewhat problematic from time to time for some reason. So I will switch for a while and see what happens. Thanks

You can also try a Clean Boot If this works, you can Keep it this Way.
Or if you want to know why, you can add one or more
Services or Startup items until the behavior returns then you will know the culprit.
