Solved Win11 25H2 stuck on two updates - How to unstick them?

On my Dell 14 Pro, after two or three tries, these updates are stuck:

KB5087051 gives off an update failure and has a retry option. I went to the Windows Catalog to manually install it and it says it's not compatible with my system. Huh?

But that's the proper version for my system.

KB5089549 I went to the Windows Catalog to manually install it and after about 20 minutes, it said it installed it successfully, but it keeps coming back into the update queue like it didn't and then gets stuck at 6% again and again, even after a couple of re-boots.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks

Ooops, I should've mentioned that in my first post. Yes, I ran that batch file and the cmd screen came up like it should. When it ended, I re-booted it again and still the same results.

It seems that you should maybe try to do a repair install using windows update.
It might take some time but it will put things back in order.

Settings>System>Recovery>Fix problem using windows update.

What do you mean?
It is a full blown re-installation with 2 or 3 reboots but none of your settings are changed.

I hope it doesn't do things like turn Bitlocker on, or reinstall OneDrive, or make me sign in using an account.

Go to c:\windows\softwaredistribution folder and delete all subdirectories (not all will get deleted but that does not matter).

Then click windows update and all the stuck ones disappear.

The batch file written by @Brink linked above performs that and it didn't work for him.

An In-Place Upgrade doesn't do things like that. It just fixes whatever Windows things are already there.
It won't ADD anything.

Personally, I recommend Option Two, the ISO method.

Yup, that one fixed it, alright.

Had to attempt this twice since it would get to 100% then loop back to 0% the first time. Another reboot and running it again, it reached past 100%, allowing the restart button to turn blue. Then after it was fixed, those two hanging updates cleared itself from the pending status.

Thanks to everybody who helped out. I most appreciate it!
