Solved Windows 11 and Screensaver

I have been through a number of help segments in YouTube and I have checked and rechecked with no luck.
Changed THEME back to a " stock" included theme. Went into settings/screensaver and made sure it was turned on and set to 5 minutes for this test. Saved any changes and then re-booted; in my case in settings I have picked PHOTOS which show up in the preview just fine.

What is interesting is that I also have a Windows 10 Laptop with the same exact setting and it works fine except that it takes longer that 5 minutes to kick in.
I have also done the removal of devices plugged in that may or may not signal the PC so that screensaver does not kick in.
My mouse won't be an issue ( read about it ) as the mouse does not project anything down onto a surface. It is a Logitech Marble that is not moved around on a surface at all.

So, please give me some things to try. My wife is whining at me about it because she likes to sit with a coffee and watch the random photos from time to time.

Well thanks a lot for that info; it is actually a really accurate list of all the things that I have tried so far. I will continue with it tomorrow. Will try to choose something like "bubbles" rather than photos. Things like that.

Update; Changed screensaver from photos to Mystery and it now works. Left it on overnight. So wonder what the hell that could be?????

What you could do to test is to create a folder and put your photos in it and try using that folder.
In screensaver select photos, settings and browse to that folder.

Well hells-Bells; what I did this morning was to just direct screensaver to a folder in my pictures folder. Worked just dandy; went back and changed it back to the original pictures folder and now it works; I thought that maybe I had a brain-fart but now me thinks Windows had a brain-fart. I will try it throughout the day set at 5 minutes to monitor it. Thanks all for input.

It's not always the user that accumulates gas from time to time. Windows has a history of flatulence.

I thought Screensavers were a thing of the past bearing in mind the digital, plasma, flat screen super monitors of today.

I prefer to have a screensaver on rather than a void.

Save electricity, turn it off

In my opinion, if it's necessary to invoke a screensaver, chances are, there's no one there to look at anything, anyway..., Lock Screen suffices!
