Yup, Microsoft support has been so nice of explaining the situation to me, even some of them cant' upgrade but they are totally fine. I am not the people who like to game or all of that, I just want to get good grates and be grateful for what i have :) It dosent' matter what OS you use, as long you work hard at what you do.

Hi,
Do your own testing and prove it wrong with fps differences atm disabled then enable it.

OEM is always up to them to make machines compatible not intel/ amd

Ironically in this case ms is the oem and os in question :D

So you are saying this is why Microsoft is enforcing requiemtns since you may get errors or bluescreen? Did you get a bluescreen or somethinG? What went wrong? It's a 4th gen, that's why

Support is really why
Any mother board that has a tpm port on it should be fine for a bios update although it maybe tpm 1.2
Issue is board manufactures releasing a bios update and testing chips there is no money in it for them to do.

Microsoft well yeah they know what hardware end of support means which is usually 3 years before bios updates stop.

No I do not get blue screens

So nothing like actually finding out!
Conducted a test on my other Win11 rig i5-10400 6GB GTX1060 on the very demanding Trainz Simulator as testing the latest Beta on it to see if it works on Win11 on a lowish spec system which it does.

Core isolation off average fps 51.2
Core Isolation on average fps 51.8 yes it's slightly higher.

Think that would confirm that it doesn't have much if any effect on games leastwise not on a pre Raytracing system.
It's easy enough to turn on or off anyway.

My surface still eligible for firmware updates as it is not discontinued yet. Windows 11 was totally fine.
