Windows-11 Explorer-icon on desktop not moveable

Hi,

I am working with Windows-11 and i have on my desktop the Windows-explorer-icon
That icon is located on the bottom., left on the screen
I would like to move that icon to another place om my desktop, but when i have moved that icon, the next time i start my laptop, the icon is back to the old position
How could i fix that, thats my question,

Try moving another icon other than explorer, restart, and see if its move sticks. I suspect it won't. Then try moving explorer icon, hit f5 which refreshes. Then restart. Does the move stick then?

Dumb question: are you sure it is a shortcut instead of the actual .exe/executable file itself? Have seen users make that mistake and checking the Properties of it will verify one or the other.

Do you have auto arrange icons turned on. Right click on the desktop and look under View.

All icons are moveable on the desktop, except the Explorer-icon
Pressinf F5 and restart does not solve the problem
I will try auto arrange icons, what you suggested, but right clik on the desktop does not show: View

The explorer-icon on the desktop is indead a shortcut
All orher icons are moveable
I think i rest my case and leave it for what it is (is not an imported issue)

If you just install the "Classic Shell" you'll have better control over the look and feel of your OS.
I won't install Windows without it.

I see the icon-shortcut points to: C:\Úsers\Demob\Desktop
I created a new explorer-icon ( a second one) pointing to: C:\windows\explorer .exe
and that second icon works exact as the old one and: this (2nd) icon does not change place when i start tht laptop again!!!!

cd c:\ enter
cd C:\Úsers\Demob\Desktop enter
dir *.lnk enter (shows desktop shortcuts)
del *.lnk enter (replace the * by the name of the shortcut, otherwise it will delete all desktop shortcuts)

I wonder if it has something to do with that Removable Drives glitch!?!?!?
