Recently added apps being grouped into a folder in the Start menu's recommended section is now rolling out in 23575. Simply enable the ID from the quoted tweet and reboot. (If you still don't get it, enable 39146010 and 44470355)

I still don't have Copilot in the taskbar on this build. And it's been the same since the last few dev builds.

I clean installed Windows Insider ISO build 23506 a while back and had the early preview (the old icon) of Copilot in the taskbar. Then I updated to every build that came subsequently. After like the 2nd or 3rd upgrade (don't remember exactly when), it disappeared from taskbar and till now hasn't came back. I was expecting it to come back with the new icon by now.

I have all the ViVe ids enabled (I checked). And it's also not present/disabled in the Taskbar item settings.

Just to confirm, did you use the vivetool command below and restart to enable the Copilot feature?

vivetool /enable /id:44776738 /priority:test /store:both

Are you using a local account or a MS account to login to Windows?

Yes, they added a requirement for MS account to get Copilot available in latest Windows 11 updates.
I had to switch to a MS account to get it on the Taskbar and Settings, then I switched back to local account and Copilot remained available.
There is another way of getting it, assuming you have the required IDs enabled.
You can use this command below in Win + R or create a desktop shortcut with it and rename it what you like.

Note that if the required ID is not enabled this command will just open MS Edge, but if you have the ID 44776738 enabled it will open Copilot Sidebar on the right side of the screen.
Keep in mind that Copilot still has a bug that can mess up the desktop layout depending on the Resolution and Scale used for your screen.
Usually when you close the Copilot sidebar the desktop goes back to normal.
Just make sure that there are no icons sitting on the desktop in the area where Copilot opens the silly Sidebar.

I just did again and restarted. Still not present.

To get the Copilot icon you have to create it and then use it instead of the default icon, it will work with the default edge icon too.

There is a web site to convert an image into a .ico file.

As for the IDs required for Copilot here is what I have:

[44774629] (TaskbarCopilot)
[44776738] (Copilot, coreq MtestUx14 and MtestUx15)
[44850061] (TaskbarCopilot_Settings)
[42105254] (MTestUx15)
[41655236] (MTestUx14)

I have seen a case where 44776738 was disabled by MS with priority:dynamic (6)
you can check that if you use:
vivetool /query
and see if there are multiple entries of that same ID:44776738
To override the priority:dynamic you can use a higher priority.

vivetool /enable /id:44776738 /priority:tests /store:both
Note that test has priority (12)
