Hi,
I was a happy user of Windows 11 IoT LTSC Edition 24H2.
Unfortunately, three months ago I made a mistake and installed the 25H2 enablement package (KB5054156), which changed my build to 6200.
Updates worked for a while, but currently whenever I try to update (DISM, NTLite, Windows Update), I get: “Something Didn’t Go as Planned.”
The same error also appears when I try to disable certain optional features. I cannot remove “Sandbox / Containers-DisposableClientVM.”
I noticed the issue might be related to WinPE/WinRE, because after failed updates the system creates an update.wim on drive C in C:$WinREAgent.
Recovery appears to be working correctly according to reagentc /info:
C:\Windows\System32>reagentc /info
Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and system reset configuration
Information:
Windows RE status: Enabled
Windows RE location: \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk1\partition4\Recovery\WindowsRE
Boot Configuration Data (BCD) identifier: dc1323fa-f1b0-11f0-9ac3-005056c00008

REAGENTC.EXE: Operation Successful.
I have run all DISM and sfc /scannow checks:
The system did not detect any issues in DISM or CBS.
In theory, the simplest solution would be to perform a clean install, but I would like to recover the system if possible.
The problem is that I can’t perform an in-place upgrade because I have an unusual build (Microsoft does not provide an ISO for IoT LTSC 25H2; my system is essentially a hybrid build).
Is there a way to build an image in NTLite that includes my enablement package?
I also considered “tricking” setup.exe by changing the build number in install.wim under \servicing\Version (e.g., to 2100.9999) to force a downgrade, but I’m not sure whether that would work.
At this point, I mainly want the system to function normally, update successfully, and allow me to manage optional features.
I’m attaching my DISM and CBS logs below.
Logs are attached on transfernow, beacause CBS have 60mb:

Thank you in advance for any help.
PS: Nlite "HOSTREFRESH" option doesn't work at all, because I don't have 6200 LTSC IOT 25H2 iso.
The latest SSU is 6100 in every Cumulative Package
. Microsoft changed SSU to LCU from 6200.
