They missed viewing the computer logs?

They didn't view event viewer?

How come you did not follow this step:

3) Run upgrade_failure_info > post a share link

Its 4:52 AM (i'm going to bed)
Upgrade_failure_info.bat doesn't work :(

Still, I’m determined to fix this OS, because I don’t want to believe Microsoft is that incompetent—and that a single enablement package can break the entire LTSC branch.
Did MS offer the EP for your install via Windows Update, or provide a download from Microsoft Update Catalog?
Did you read an article suggesting you install EP on LTSC 2024?

No. While they could have restricted the EP's installation (like some other MSU's), this error wasn't something they anticipated since MS didn't make the file available to the general public. Don't blame MS.

Windows 11 editions (like consumer, enterprise, education et al.) aren't designed so that users can morph features, CU's or enablement packages from one into another. To even try is asking for real trouble as the OP has found out. And I seriously doubt that Microsoft support doing this after reading some of the Windows EULA's.

The entire point of the LTSC releases is to have a stable platform that doesn't break applications with each new update.. something Microsoft is utterly moronic for not offering to all of their customers. I WISH I had a license for W11 LTSC IoT. All of my problems with customized apps would be solved.

None. Manully configured so nobody except me can change any critical system files. (Don't ask how, it's probably against some rule somewhere)
But since there is an Enablement Package for 24H2 which, through registry modifications, activates hidden functionalities and effectively turns it into 25H2, there should be some KB that works the other way around.

I realize that after activating the Enablement Package, some of my .cab packages broke due to updates being downloaded from a different product line.

So how is it that some “modders” are able to create their own 25H2 IoT LTSC ISOs where everything works fine, without any issues — including updates, features, and overall stability?

Please perform the following steps:

2) Enable-automatic-backup-of-system-registry:

3) Create system-restore-point:

4) Read this link on Windows Driver Verifier (WDV):

Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10

5) Learn the methods to recover from BSOD caused by WDV by booting into safe mode and running one or more of these commands:

verifier /reset

verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

(option nine and seven)

6) Plan to run the tool with various customized test settings.

a) Test all non-Microsoft drivers

b) Test no Microsoft drivers

c) For the first run of WDV select the 3 customized tests displayed in the TF tutorial

7) Whenever the WDV tool is started if there is no immediate BSOD then open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

verifier /querysettings

Post a share link.

Customized tests will then be posted for the next run of WDV.

WDV can run continuously during the testing.

For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

I’m not sure, to be honest. We purchase our organization’s Windows keys through a Microsoft Partner.

Reinstalling the OS from scratch isn’t a problem.

I’ve backed everything up with Acronis (too bad I didn’t create a full system image).

Still, I’m determined to fix this OS, because I don’t want to believe Microsoft is that incompetent—and that a single enablement package can break the entire LTSC branch.

The system is running fine despite the lack of updates and the inability to manage some optional features like Sandbox.

There have to be other options besides a clean install / reinstall.
It's not always "Incompetent". Sometimes things just won't do what you want them to do because they aren't designed to. I suppose if you can remember any of those old DDR (East German before the fall of the Berlin Wall circa 1989) Trabant cars -- well I suppose you could put a Ferrari engine in it but as soon as you started the engine the whole thing probably would haveflown apart plus probably have blown up your garage too.!!!

Nothing wrong in modifying / customising stuff but you have to be realistic. And was the enablement package designed also for an LTSC release - which by definition is meant to be stable so won't get latest updates etc unless to fix defects.

Cheers
jimbo

The logs had findings that typically interfere with upgrades.

We will never know whether the OS issues were the overriding factor.

The setuperr and setupact for the rollback were not collected.

The 97 BSODs in the prior 30 days typically would cause upgrade failures.

The above is now water under the bridge.
