my old dell e6430s laptop has installed Windows 11 and is very slow loading or copying dvds, earlier windows 10 & 7 had no issues
Why is 11 being such ass?

You're possibly expecting too much, I would suspect. And 11 is not 7 or 10. There is a difference.

Your Dell Latitude E6430 which was produced in 2012 is slow loading obsolete media.
Quite honestly, I'd be stocked that it works at all, having to wait a little is possibly to be expected.

Also, it's likely missing the correct Intel SATA AHCI / RST driver? Win 11 seems to load a lot of generic crap.

Which dvd disks are slow to load ? Data dvd disk or movie dvd disk or both ? Single layer or dual layer ?

Did you clean-install Windows 11 or upgraded ? If upgrade, upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 to Win 11 ?
