Windows 11 PDF thumbnails not loading

Hi there
I have just recently built a new PC and installed Windows 11. I have a lot of PDFs and installed Powertoys to get the PDF Thumbnails to show the book covers and such.
Now my issue is that I can have some PDFs load the thumbnail and others in that same folder not. The only way I have been able to get a bunch of the folders to load all the thumbnails is by spamming F5 to refresh until the thumbnails are all loaded.

I have done my research and found a bunch of articles on fixing thumbnail issues but nothing has worked.
I have done SFC, uninstalled Powertoys and reinstalled it, Deleted my thumbnail cache through settings and Disk Cleanup.
It's becoming annoying since I can have lovely looking book covers and then just a PDF icon next to it.

Any ideas on how to fix this because I am running out of ideas?

Thanks

Adobe Acrobat. I used to try and use the built in PDF Thumbnail preview feature from Acrobat but I noticed performance impact when opening a folder with PDFs.

Yup, that does happen!
I use Sumatra and, a folder full of psf's is heavy to load, not to mention numerous pdf's open in the Sumatra UI!
Nature of the beast, I guess!
I have no problems with thumbnails though! Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Yeah it was why I used Powertoys. The performance didn't take much of a hit. It was completely fine on Windows 10 but just broken on Windows 11.

Hmmm..., not sure what to tell ya! 🤷‍♂️
You could try Sumatra, if you feel adventurous!
Like I said, I've no problem with thumbnails and, once the cache is built, it's mere milliseconds...

I'm currently trying the built-in Adobe one and it's at least working better than on my old PC. If I can't find any resolution to my issue I may just leave it at that. It works with Adobe and it's working with little performance hit currently. I just don't like the fact that it didn't work correctly with Powertoys. It could easily be something as simple as an update broke it somehow or that an update to Powertoys will fix it but figured i'd get some ideas from others in the mean time.
