Preparing to install win11 onto my SSD drive. I want to just overwrite win 10 completely or do I have to erase the SSD first; I have backed everything up but I am stuck at creating a bootable DVD with the iso on it ( I have the iso.

I need a shove in the right direction

This should help you out
Have some possible issues with win 10 dll files so I wanted a super clean install from a bootable dvd that has the iso on it. Must be an easy way

A minor point: if you can use a bootable USB thumb drive, the Windows 11 installation will be much faster than from a DVD. That's true even if the USB drive is slow, because it is random access (unlike a DVD).

The drive must be formatted as FAT32 to boot in a UEFI system. The easiest way to get that is by using the Media Creation Tool. That can be a problem, if the ISO contains an install.win that is larger than 4GB. (Too large to be written as a single file into FAT32.)

Exception: Rufus can be used to create an NTFS drive that will be bootable. It creates a small additional partition on the drive that permits booting.

Can you override insider preview with official version with bootable USB without losing any data?

Does it work with dev version or no?
No.. to go from the Dev to the final version you would need to reinstall Windows since the Dev is vastly different than the final.
