FatherTime You'll be giving MS more data to check for errors, crashes, etc. It's in no way an immediate fix but a way to help MS diagnose your problem if it's occurring with more users and they can fix it down the road.

You can say that again. Websites I browse, apps I use and how I use them... Seems like overkill, like letting my GP read my diary.

Only in Edge, and only if you don't disable that specific Edge setting.
