Windows 11 Setup Edition Selection

I'm having some trouble enabling the edition selection screen when installing from a USB. Unfortunately, I have a laptop that installs Windows 11 Home rather than Pro, even though it had a Windows 10 Pro license.

I tried the ei.cfg file I used in my Windows 10 USB but had no luck.

Any ideas?

The setup automatically checks your firmware embedded key. Thus it automatically selects Home Edition.

You can either create an install media with Pro only and install using that, It will ask for a key.

OR

Just install Home and then change your key to Pro once installed. Windows should automatically activate your Pro license and start downloading missing files that are part of Windows Pro.

I have attempted this, comes back saying the product key is invalid.

Is there a solution similar to the Windows 10 installation where we can select which edition at the setup screen?

Which product key are you using? You should be using: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T

Where did you enter the key, during setup?

Did you try entering the key while already in Windows, in the change product key section in settings?

Your computer came with either Windows 7, 8, or 10 Home edition preinstalled. Which version did you upgrade to Pro?
