You gotta be kidding me, well Microsoft might want to reconsider canceling this step because not everybody has a Microsoft account and a good internet to set up Windows 11.

OK here's the thing..
MS lost the battle against piracy from a monetary point of view (I can go into detail but believe me).. so they went the Google telemetry route - fine as a boardroom decision as MS has gazillions of users... so cash cow beckons.. right?
The kicker is no-one needs the service that they are offering (as opposed to Google with their Store).. so WAAS did not gain traction... however, as a monopoly they can/will enforce certain constraints on users to force the WAAS philosophy ...
