I have the Asus Motherboards and it's fTPM and mine are 2.0. Just make sure you update the BIOS to the current firmware.

they are not very forthcoming on their sites.

For example , the Gigabyte B365 series seem to have a tpm header on the board but there is no other mention of it. Asrock similar.
Does the mere presence of a header mean a plug in device is needed and no firmware solution will be provided - who knows?
And does the absence of header mean there is firmware tpm already somewhere in bios - who knows?

Like has been said,,, probably. ASUS has been getting really skimpy with their manuals of late, especially on the lower cost boards.
I did check the ASUS x370, x470 and x570 manuals, and they all have firmware TPM and Secure Boot.

The Firmware TPM is on the Advanced tab, and called AMD CPU fTPM
Secure Boot is on the Boot tab.

Just head to your BIOS and check those locations.

On the Asus Prime B350-Plus, fTPM does not appear until secure boot is enabled and only after saving and then re-entering the bios.

Yeah, someone else also had a similar issue where fTPM was unavailable / not showing until SB was enabled.

Yeah. A quick web search didn't give a satisfactory answer. The thing to do is to go into the BIOS settings and check. (Not difficult. The only danger is making changes that are a bit too random.)

After the fiasco I went through because the leak would not upgrade, I also, in the interim, upgraded my UEFI FW since there was an update for my mobo available, and I wasn't 100% sure that breaking the TPM setting (which a FW update always does) would be able to be fixed in Win11. So I took it after reverting to Win10.

And I learned - on my mobo - it seems that I may not be able to get access to enabling TPM unless I set an admin password first.

I did it all very quickly, and I *may* be wrong, but I sure didn't see it until after I enabled that password and rebooted and entered the FW settings with the password.

Now that I'm on the public Insider's build, I may try resetting the FW settings and see if that is actually true or not.

Yes,, the motherboard support TPM 2 and I have it setup

Correct.. I was able to find the setting and activate TPM 2.

I'd like to differentiate between RTM and stable release. RTM is planned for October 2021, but in the past MS needed about 3 years after RTM to get the bugs out and achieve a truly stable release.

When 10 came out, MS tried by hook or by crook to upgrade just about every 7 and up machine on the globe, the stated goal at the time was 1 billion devices on 10 within 1 year after RTM. It was so bad that I installed a utility 'never10' on all my machines, because I wanted to wait for the 3 year after RTM stable release before upgrading.

I truly hope that MS does not practice the 'by hook or by crook' upgrades again for 11.

MS never give an official release date in case they have to pull the release at the last minute (has happened).

The only real indication they've given have been in screenshots with altered dates and time. Otherwise, at the event 2 months ago they simply said October 2021.
