My AMD CPU is no longer listed for the Windows 11 supported CPU list. It was listed on the Windows 21H2 CPU list originally and is now missing from that list. It’s also missing on the 22H2 list. My computer doesn’t have any messages about having unsupported hardware. My CPU is a Threadripper Pro 3945WX. The question is it a Microsoft omission or I’m going to get an “unsupported hardware” notice.

How about a link to where you found that list? There's several but they don't all read the same.

Both of those lists are dated 17 October 2022.

I wonder if they're any different from each other?

I don't know who to contact to verify that it's still supported under Win 11. As far as I know, the device security requirements of 11 have not changed. (The CPU was released on 14 July, 2020. Pretty new.)

I know my computer’s CPU was Windows 11 supported when I bought it about 14 months ago… it was the main reason I bought it then. My computer model is also a current and they sell it with Windows 11 pro installed configured with my CPU version as the base model.

I found a Windows 11 supported CPU list which was released on 10/27/2021 on a non-Microsoft website. None of the less, all of these AMD Threadripper and Threadripper Pro CPUs are missing from Microsoft's current CPU list.

AMDRyzen Threadripper2920X
AMDRyzen Threadripper2950X
AMDRyzen Threadripper2970WX
AMDRyzen Threadripper2990WX
AMDRyzen Threadripper3960X
AMDRyzen Threadripper3970X
AMDRyzen Threadripper3990X
AMDRyzen Threadripper PRO3945WX
AMDRyzen Threadripper PRO3955WX
AMDRyzen Threadripper PRO3975WX
AMDRyzen Threadripper PRO3995WX

And the current list...

AMDRyzen™ Threadripper™ PRO5945WX
AMDRyzen™ Threadripper™ PRO5955WX
AMDRyzen™ Threadripper™ PRO5965WX
AMDRyzen™ Threadripper™ PRO5975WX
AMDRyzen™ Threadripper™ PRO5995WX

Looks like Microsoft added the new models and forgot the older ones. Add these two together and you probably have the correct list of the Windows 11 Supported AMD Threadripper and Threadripper Pro CPU's.

TMK, Microsoft is mostly banning pre-2018 processors. (in the case of AMD)

In the case of Intel, not sure. Other than the fact that Microsoft is banning pre-2017 processors for sure.

There is no 4th gen intel in the Windows 7 list which is odd.

I’m aware of only the Threadripper 1950X not being Windows 11 supported. Everything else was. I can upgrade my CPU if needed, they’re available at Micro Center.
