Windows 11 Supported CPU list.

My AMD CPU is no longer listed for the Windows 11 supported CPU list. It was listed on the Windows 21H2 CPU list originally and is now missing from that list. It’s also missing on the 22H2 list. My computer doesn’t have any messages about having unsupported hardware. My CPU is a Threadripper Pro 3945WX. The question is it a Microsoft omission or I’m going to get an “unsupported hardware” notice.

I don't know who to contact to verify that it's still supported under Win 11. As far as I know, the device security requirements of 11 have not changed. (The CPU was released on 14 July, 2020. Pretty new.)

I know my computer’s CPU was Windows 11 supported when I bought it about 14 months ago… it was the main reason I bought it then. My computer model is also a current and they sell it with Windows 11 pro installed configured with my CPU version as the base model.

So long as your specs (which look like it) are up to par otherwise you should be fine

I found a Windows 11 supported CPU list which was released on 10/27/2021 on a non-Microsoft website. None of the less, all of these AMD Threadripper and Threadripper Pro CPUs are missing from Microsoft's current CPU list.

TMK, Microsoft is mostly banning pre-2018 processors. (in the case of AMD)

In the case of Intel, not sure. Other than the fact that Microsoft is banning pre-2017 processors for sure.

There is no 4th gen intel in the Windows 7 list which is odd.

I’m aware of only the Threadripper 1950X not being Windows 11 supported. Everything else was. I can upgrade my CPU if needed, they’re available at Micro Center.

Has anyone has any sort of official response on this? I personally tried to get Win 11 22H2 Running on my Zenith Extreme Alpha running a 2950X after updating to BIOS 2401 which is one version after the BIOS needed to run Windows 11 supposedly and I keep getting certificate errors with regards to drivers.
It got so bad I reverted that PC back to Windows 10.
I had seen a reference to those certificate errors being solved if you have an external TPM I.E not the CPU one ; however I take that with a pound of salt as the error is actually being caused by a URL which the system is trying to browse to - to check that the driver is valid, trying to go there manually in a browser it complains that the stylesheet is missing for it, meanwhile on AMDs site there is a mention that they had the validation server misconfigured for a couple of years..

It's getting to the point it is hard to know what to believe and users need hard answers not to be led up the garden path or left to guess. I think it's time to start hounding Microsoft and AMD ( who were constantly referenced in the certification errors ) until the problem is sorted.

I'm not an expert on this kind of problem, but my guess is that the ASUS drivers are outdated... ASUS does abandon its older hardware over time and if the motherboard was a Windows 10 board, this could be the main issue. I normally use the chipset drivers from AMD and let Windows update do the rest. There is a setting in Microsoft Defender to disable Vulnerable Drivers Block List. Not sure if that would help or not. Perhaps turning Memory Integrity off would also help.

I did a big lot of testing the problems that were occurring were all over the place I could literally kick off a certification error simply by trying to install the razer synapse software, it only had to do it's pop up and you had a repeatable error which you could not get rid of, unfortunately I no longer have the screen shots I had which I passed on to razer.
I found three culprits before I gave up.. and not one of them was ASUS related.
Razer Synapse was 1.
Trying to install Brave browser was another ( I could not help thinking that Microsoft might be starting the browser wars again )
The latest AMD drivers as downloaded from their site, the errors look like this:

I've been playing around with Windows computers for 20 years now... I haven't ever seen those kinds of Certificate of errors before. What I could find online is something concerning Wi-Fi extenders. The person was trying to install ASUS Armory Crate and it too generated the same exact error as your machine. Unfortunately, no solution was listed, but they suggested using an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi and see if that helps.
