Windows 11 24H2 Insider Build (Beta Channel).

Cannot install Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26120.6972): Install error - 0x800f0922

The above update won't install. I've tried everything I know, including manually resetting Windows Update components, SFC reports zero integrity violations, recovery partition is 1 GB so plenty of space. I even restored an image backup from 12 days previous and still the same issue persists.

At this stage I'm considering performing an in-place upgrade but would prefer to get to the bottom of this issue if possible. Any advice would be gratefully received.

TIA

Thank you, appreciated. I'd already gone through most of the steps but I went through them again... still no go.

However, it looks like Brink's in-place upgrade advice has done the trick. I used the local "Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems with Windows Update > Reinstall now" method and that seems to have fixed the problem.

So, thanks again.
