Solved Windows Hello Face Recognition not Working in 10.0.22000.100

My camera seems to be working, at least it does in the Windows Camera app. However, when logging on, I get a brief message that says "Something went wrong" when the face recognition should happen.

I've already uninstalled / reinstalled the camera driver, but that has not helped.

Anyone else seeing this difficulty since upgrading to this build?

My PC is completely crashing at login when it gets to the Windows Hello face login :(

Doh! I just read the release notes. This is a known problem in this build (the error, not the crashing).

I unplugged the camera booted to safemode then restarted and I'm in :party:

General reporting indicates that uninstalling the device, then rebooting works for most people who encounter the "Something went wrong..." error. Luckily neither of my Win11 test machines fell prey to this issue and fingerprint scanners (on both) and facial recognition via camera (on one) kept working just fine.

Uninstalling / reinstalling / rebooting did not help me. Ah well, it's only a dev build so I expect issues at this point.
