Microsoft to remove Password option for Sign-in in Windows 11

I wonder if they'll pass this on to ordinary users? Any insiders have any inclination of this?

Microsoft has announced that it is going to provide a passwordless experience for industries and organizations. The computers in organizations running on Windows 11 version 22H2 are eligible to enable the passwordless experience after installing the latest September 2023 Update.

Don't know as I don't run an insider build, but Brink just wrote a tutorial yesterday that looks like it may have something to do with it.
It seems even with local accounts MS is now deciding for us what they deem to be a security risk or not.

Yes that’s the one pretty much, I also noticed it yesterday, a new process. And there is the old Ten forum one which I will now replace with the new one. But all these hacks I have to run on a new install. Saving even fie minutes is great. I get excited on the extremely rare occasion that something changes so a hack isn’t needed. One lives in hope

@antspants As I saw your post I was trying to organize all my notes and regedits I'll need to make on a new install for me or others. I can't remember everything I've done to mine to get to where I am. It ridiculous how many hoops we have to jump through.

I know. It’s taking longer every time they update. My notepad list of “steps to setup” is so ridiculously long also 😵‍💫. I’d be totally lost without it, @glasskuter , and I am positive there are still things missing.

Brilliant idea. Good man, thanks 🙏 I’ll come back for that one. I believe I have that app.
I’m hanging out for a new ISO with all the updates so I can do a fresh independent install of 11. My PC is just a mess of faults that I am not even going to bother posting about. I’d rather wait and see if its all good after the install as apposed to my upgrade from 10 version.
