@vsub
I noticed recently that some specific games might be lowering the Per Core turbo values within Intel CPU.s This can slow the CPU down significantly. You might be forced to reboot to try and get the CPU back up to its full rated speed.
I am not sure what solution you found or if the problem you were having is related to the Per Core problem that I found.
If you or anyone else has a slow running Intel CPU after starting a game, run ThrottleStop, open the FIVR window and press the Per Core button. This button is only going to be available on unlocked 12th Gen or newer HX or K series CPUs. Post a screenshot of that window.
The Defaults column shows the default Per Core values that Intel has programmed into the CPU. This screenshot is from a 14900HX. It allows the two best cores to use the 58 multiplier when 1 or 2 cores are active. All of the other P cores are limited to the 56 multiplier.
The Now column shows what these values are actually set to. A CPU stuck at a slow speed might show Per Core values under the Now column that are far less than the Default values. Checking the Use Limits box and editing the values in the Use column can help you correct any problems.
Pressing the Max button will set all of the Per Core values to their maximum allowed values. Pressing the Defaults button will copy the default values from the Defaults column over to the Use column. Pressing Apply or OK after you do this should change what values the CPU is using.
If you screw something up, press Cancel so you can start again.
