Same settings on both my desktop and laptop, to include disabling network scanning. However, my laptop just started giving me the "The Windows Defender Antivirus can skipped an item due to exclusion or network scanning settings" error...after finding no threats. I know this issue came up years ago and Microsoft actually provided a fix. Desktop is not giving the error. If I enable network scanning on the laptop the error goes away...but I don't want that for resource reasons. I'm on 24H2 build 2454 but don't think that is the issue. I've tried repair and reset of Windows Security but that didn't work. Is there another setting, in Windows Security, or registry that will restore my ability to have network scan off and not get the error...just live with the error?
