Has anyone noticed this or know a workaround. When booting or rebooting my system Virus and Threat Protection has to be turned on. This is annoying any ideas on how to fix this.

It's not the Virus Protection, it's the Automatic Sample Submission feature.

The latest build 22000.100 should have prompted Windows 11 to obtain and install the latest Defender client, as mentioned in this thread:

Automatic Sample Submission is Off? - specifically at the end.

Check for updates in Windows Update to see if it is waiting for you, assuming you're on build 22000.120.

I had the same issue when I did an update from 10 to 11 but when I did a clean instillation of 11 the issue went away, not sure why but it did.

You have to get the update for Defender to 2107.4 for it to work. Some people have had it for weeks, I just got mine right after updating to .120.

It's coming, just have to wait.
