OS
win 11 Home ver 23H2
I am trying to use WinMerge to verify files before transfer to my NAS
I select run windows in Admin mode
I select the winmerge app and run it in admin mode
When I try to copy a file from one folder to another I get the message "You Require permission from the computer's administrator to make changes to this file"
Can't find what I am doing wrong.
Running Win11 latest release on Lenova desktop

Welcome to the forum. I am so sorry no one has answered you sooner. I just saw your post. .
You would need to take ownership of the folder/file before you can work with it.

If that doesn't work Here's a written tutorial with pictures how to manually change ownership. Microsoft OneDrive
