Winrar not proposing to add files i edit & save on emeditor Anymore

Winrar isn't automatically proposing to add files i edit & save on emeditor anymore.
This happened since i moved to win11 from win8

Firstly, your question doesn’t really explain much.


If opening the file from within the RAR archive, after you finish editing it, try using “Ctrl+S” to save the file.
You may or may not get asked to update the archive.

Otherwise:

Drag the file out of the RAR archive
Edit
“Ctrl+S” to save
Drag & drop the file back into the archive again, you should get asked if you want to overwrite or update the rile in the RAR archive

you don't get it..

winrar proposes to update files i edited & saved to the computer where the files were placed by winrar when i opened them in any editor.
winrar detects it.... Normally, Without:

"Drag & drop the file back into the archive again" ........ .

2012 feature:
"By default, WinRAR proposes to update an archive if viewer modified an opened file or created any new files"

I don't need to re-add it manually to the archive cause winrar detects what was done in the temporary folder it used to extract files i edit temporarily.

I actually do get it, It’s working for me. I have no idea what you’ve done.
Here's an RAR Archive that contains a text document I archived for the purpose of showing you that I DO get it.
Added text to the document
Ctrl+S
Prompt to update archive.
TADA!

well, not working here anymore as i mentionned,

anyone has a clue ?

Resolved.

No time to find out what exactly fixed it but it's done:

1. take ownership of the winrar folder.
2. (it was already running as admin all the time) changed the compatibility mode from win11 to win7.

Uninstalling WINRAR and deleting the folder followed by reinstallation would have set all the permissions as needed, it does not need to run in Win7 compatibility mode. It's folder is owned by the Administrators group.
