Wrong sign-in password on first tries

Hi.
Sometimes I use Win+L to lock my desktop. after a few minutes when I want to unlock it, the first try shows me the "wrong password" error. Why? is that an old bug?

This is just a guess so I could be wrong. Is it possible that keyboard doesn't wake up until the first key is pressed so that the first character doesn't get typed.

This tweak gives you two options... turn off display and lock computer and turn off display.
The advantage with this is that when unlocking the computer, you need to left click on the lock screen.
At least in my case (desktop and mouse), this wakes up the keyboard.

I locked my screen with Win+L and then pressed some keys to get the password prompt. I didn't get a "wrong password" error and it allowed me to type my password which it accepted on the first try.

I'm sure I'm writing it right. changed to "1234" to test and also used "show hidden password" icon to make sure everything is right, but it shows error. I have this problem for almost a year with different versions of Windows 11...

Set the 'Sleep' timeout to 'Never,' lock the device, wait a few minutes, then try it again. Maybe it happens to you too.

Tried that. I found if I tapped a few keys they went into the password field on the lock screen so I had to remove them and then type my password. What happens if you return to the password prompt by pressing a mouse button instead of pressing a key?

It doesn't matter what I do—pressing space, clicking the mouse, or using this method—it always shows an error on the first try. Just to be sure, I changed my password to "1234", typed a few characters, deleted them, then typed "1234" again. Before pressing Enter, I used the "Show hidden password" button (the one that looks like a closed eye) to confirm everything was correct.

I’m not sure if this is relevant, but I have two keyboard layouts set in Windows: English and Persian. I'm certain it's set to English (EN), and the selected language is clearly shown on the lock screen.

If I lock the device and type the password immediately, it works fine. But if I leave it for a few minutes and then come back, it fails again.
