Solved Your opinion on the 'Can of Worms' that is TPM

I bought my laptop in 2018 with TPM 2.0 and Intel SGX pre-installed. It only had a 128gb m2 drive. After 2 weeks of owning the I cloned the system over to a bigger m2 drive. using the new drives software, (Samsung). After I booted up, I downloaded windows and clean installed. I then reinstalled all of the drivers from the manufacturer's website. I still have the original M2 drive in a box. Everything went just fine. I am unsure though what would happen should a hard drive die but am thinking maybe a clean install on a new drive would work much the same way.
I had a similar experience with my Lenovo IDEAPAD 310. When I got it there was a 1TB disc drive, and I had a spare Samsung 500GB EVO. I wanted two things, firstly, the extra speed of the SSD, and secondly, to avoid the unwanted extras that laptop manufacturers like you to have. After a few weeks to make sure it was working ok, I replaced the spinner with the SSD and did a clean installation of the W10 HP64 with no trouble. I kept the 1TB and use it for backups.
Recently, I went into the laptop's bios and was surprised to find that Intel's version of TPM and secure boot were enabled by default from new by Lenovo. Sadly, the i3 is only 6th generation, so I won't be forcing W11 on it.
