Youtube on Chrome acting strange

I don't know if this is a Win 11 problem or a Chrome Problem but I hadn't noticed it happening before I swapped to 11.

If I open YouTube in Chrome, sometimes it will open the Previous search choices as soon as I click the YouTube shortcut



For instance, I don't have to touch anything on screen to select it. I had thought it was my mouse somehow clicking it but cursor need not be anywhere near it and it will still open. It won't close or go away until I click the search box.

I am on latest Chrome version 92.0.4515.131
Mouse software auto updates so it shouldn't be it.

I am using Firefox 91.0 Release and have no problems with YouTube. Try it in EDGE that is almost Chrome.

That won't work, I have tried to swap from chrome before and always forget to use new browser. That and some of my addons don't work in Edge even though they do in Chrome. Just spent 10 minutes yelling at Edge for showing me the news I don't want to see on my new tab, and its insistence of using bing. I have fixed that now. It lacks themes too, all of the ones on its page are from Microsoft games...

I might as well use Firefox if I am swapping browsers,

I don't feel using another browser is right answer to question, it just avoids the problem.

Same thing happens on Firefox as well.

So if its 2 browsers having same thing happen, i wonder what it is.
Bitdefender finds nothing
what could it be¿

why do I always get problems I have never seen before.

i ran malwarebytes, it found a few things. I see if thats all it was.

Malwarebyes didn't fix it. Still occurs.

I asked elsewhere and someone else reported it happened to them too. So not sure why it happens but its nice to know I am not alone.

Youtube shows recent searches if you press / in your keyboard. For some reason, the shortcut runs https://youtube.com/#searching or some others.

I didn't know that shortcut but its doing it auto for me but it doesn't happen everytime I open YouTube, it does seem to be happening more though.
