Solved 24H2 - how to remove the two (un)reclaimable that always show in DISM

    The case fan and CPU cooler were after purchase upgrades...the i7 cpu runs hot and the OE solution can best be described as marginal when CPU intensive apps are used.
    ALSO added VRM and SSD passive heatsinks.
Did this, and the reclaimable packages are now zero 👍
Can confirm that today's update installed without problems after removing the package

I also had the two “un” reclaimable packages showing up in DISM analyses. However, I read this thread when I was at 24H2 ver. 10.0.26100.3775 and followed the recommendation to run dism /online /remove-package /packagename:Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~26100.1742.1.10 ..

And managed to get rid of the two “un” reclaimables.

Yesterday, I had to reinstall my system because of another trouble, and I ended up with 24H2 ver. 10.0.26100.3915.

Surprise surprise, the two packages returned, yet the recommended scrip does not work, but DISM reports:



Error: 0x800f0805



The specified package is not valid Windows package.



I am not knowledgeable enough on Win11 to try and attempt anything else ( I am 70 and stuck at IBM Assembler II).



Any kind recommendations?

How can I use this command in NTHLink as a pre-install command so after Windows installation and before OOBE I can get rid of these two packs.
I don't know how to write cmd commands in NTHLink.
Thanks a lot.

NTLite can run a proper DISM cleanup on updated install images, so we don't do that.

This process is for normal users which only have access to the DISM command. You can add this as a Post-Setup command if you're using the free edition.

can you please show me how you write this command or other commands in NTLite?
for example, how do you write sfc /scannow in the boxes?

This isn't the right thread for this topic. You don't need to check your system files after a clean install. Random corruption tends to occur after a system's been running for a while.

If you trust your ISO sources, and the tools that update them, you don't need to verify files got installed correctly unless there's bad HW.

Find me a Windows IT pro site that suggests you to check your files' integrity after an install. The probability of corruption is low. If you have DISM problems on a clean install, they more likely to be caused by Servicing Stack bugs.
