Solved 24H2 Installation Fail

Hi all

got the restart messge just now, set it off and after the usual reboots etc i got an unexpected "undoing changes made to your computer" message. i'm now back in and Check For Updates says if failed w/ 0xc1900101 ~ any ideas?

The error code 0xC1900101 is a generic rollback code that indicates an incompatible driver. This error can occur when trying to install a system update or upgrade to the latest Windows version.

• Free up disk space

internet is fine
troubleshooter found an issue, said it was fixed
update shows no other updates/drivers due
have no 3rd party AVS
haven't messed w/ the BIOS

asked to retry from Check for Updates ~ it downloaded, said "installing", asked for a reboot, did the "updates are installing" message or whatever the wording is, and now i'm looking at a black screen for over 10 mins :-/
it did that the last time before going back to the "undoing changes" messages, but it didn't take that long.

help :-(

UPDATE: after reading a similar post on the MS forum i just did a force power-off, left it a minute then powered up. got an "attempting to recover the installation" message then it just went off and did its thing. now of 24H2, seems ok [in the whole 2 mins i've been up lol].
