26100.2161 Task Manager bug

Probably Task Manager got stuck somewhere before populating the processes. Switch to details, do you see anything there? You can try to kill (end task) the Task Manager from details and then load it again. Have you restarted your PC? Does it makes any difference?

Yes. Roll-back to 23H2 if you are able to.

I am seeing quite a few people reporting various issues with 24H2 so I have put a temporary 23H2 target version in place on my devices. It seems that MS are using the public as testers instead of waiting to release 24H2 in a more stable form.

Good luck in fixing it. I suspect MS will be issuing fixes in the future but it means frustration for 24H2 users in the meantime.

I had an issue with my cheap wireless USB dongle. Every time I connected another USB device it would lose connection and would recover when the other device was removed but not always reconnect automatically, I had to manually connect it again to my WiFi. I hadn't this issue in 23H2. Probably difference in resource management. It was resolved buying a new faster wireless USB dongle. Another bug for us using both Explorer Patcher and Open Shell is that the search icon occasionally disappears from the taskbar and to get it back we have to switch to search box and back to search icon. Also the taskbar color configured in Open Shell changes to the default taskbar color when we click on the search icon. It may return to the set color if we close the search window, but not always. I can live with a couple of minor bugs. Hopefully a new update or version of Explorer Patcher will fix them.

I goes back to 26100.2033 (remove Update) because Task Manager. I will wait for next Patch in November.
