I sent an email via my eM Client to a friend in the USA, he advised me that he had received 28 copies of the same email. Yet the other recipient on the email only received the one copy. My friend in the USA uses his Firefox browser to access his email.

Could the problem be with his ISP's server, I only have the one copy of the email in my Sent folder.
We are both stumped at the moment.

I assume you mean the 'Sent' folder showing in your email client but have you checked the 'Sent' folder in your email provider's webpage?

Also, which EM client are you using?

I have had this happen and it turned out the email was stuck in my outbox , continuously being sent.
I have had this happen due to an antivirus app that had a plug-in in my email client, years ago.

At a guess, as you sent the one email to two recipients and only one got the email 28 times, I’d say you were in the clear and the issue would be with the multiple recipients ISP or email client.

If both recipients use the same ISP, I’d consider that strange, or, caused due to the way the multiple recipient accesses their mail or their choice of email client.

Maybe a one-off glitch. Send your friend another email with a copy to someone else and see if it happens again. If it does, report back. If it doesn't, just forget about it. It's not worth worrying about.
