Malwarebytes. Do a full scan and quarantine anything it finds. MWB will install with a 14 day trial of premium version. After 14 days it will revert to the free version. If you decide to uninstall MWB make sure that all quarantined items have been deleted first or the infection will come back once MWB is uninstalled.
(To delete quarantined items)
  • Click the Detection History card.
  • In the Quarantined items tab, check the boxes of the items you want to delete. (all of them)
  • Click the Delete button. Deleting the items permanently removes them from your device.

I think the searches for this AAsharksearchonline will be negative, nothing shows anywhere in the log bases i checked ! So i will follow this !

In searching google I entered it as sharksearchonline without the AA to be able to find anything at all on it. Check your Edge extensions. Is there any installed that might be suspect.

@flashh4 There's so little mention of it I think it may be a browser hijacker under the umbrella of some browser extension or installed app. I found this site which is highly suspect in it's complete lack of info. SharkPdf

I have used Malwarebytes Premium and System Mechanic Pro for years. I have run both once again, and neither one picks up this invader.

Not sure what my Dad did, but i found 2 things installed, so check your recently installed programs and unistall the shark.pdf and there was a 2nd one also named shark something, sorry didn't write it down
Also the default search engine browser was set to this aasharksearchonline, so switch that back to bing/chrome whatever you actually want to use
