Is it possible to drag a folder into taskbar and then it'll become a menu with sub menus? i used it for 20 years since windows 98 and i cant do it on windows 11
i placed "Favorites" folder there and i just used to it beacuse i use few different web browsers.

Thanks for your replay
i meant for a menu, not a folder window.

Here is an example, it's RTL and taken 20 years ago but you get the point, i hope so :)
it's possible also on win10, no need to go far to win98

What you are referring to is a Taskbar Toolbar that has been resized to a small enough size so that it has a chevron button at the end. You may need to add an additional Taskbar Toolbar (that can be an empty one if necessary) next to it to make it smaller. But the Windows 11 taskbar doesn't support Taskbar Toolbars, so you'll need to bring back the old taskbar. For this, I use ExplorerPatcher: GitHub - valinet/ExplorerPatcher: This project aims to bring back a productive working environment on Windows 11

Great advice from @hdmi, he has it spot on and ExplorerPatcher brings back other things to improve functionality like context menu options and more

As the others have mentioned, you are talking about a Taskbar Toolbar.

I added that capability back. See
My Taskbar setup [post #6] - ElevenForum
- I think others refer to my actions as 'restoring the Classic Taskbar'.
- Several people have used ExplorerPatcher instead and there might be even more ways of doing it.
- It's even possible that a future Windows 11 update might restore this capability for everyone.

All the best,
Denis
