Solved Add folder to Taskbar

I have a File Explorer icon on the taskbar with 2 shortcuts on it. How do I add other shortcuts to the same icon?

I tried putting Explorer exe in the new folder shortcut properties and then clicking pin to taskbar, but that opened a new File Explorer icon with the new folder, not adding it to the existing one.

Any help is appreciated.

In my system I have Folders open by File Explorer on my taskbar.
How did I do that?

In any folder on the system (for instance Folder Shortcuts) make a new shortcut
In "Type the location of the item" type: "C:\Windows\explorer.exe [path]
Example for [path]: D:\
Complete command: C:\Windows\explorer.exe D:\
In "What would you like to name the shortcut?" type the name you have in mind for the shortcut.

A shortcut created in this way can be pinned to the taskbar and will open a new window.

It's all about the command "C:\Windows\explorer.exe" added in front of the normal destination (in my case D:).

There are many other ways to create a shortcut, of which the result always will be a destination without the command "C:\Windows\explorer.exe". But you can easily change that in the properties of the shortcut.

You might post a screenshot of the property window of that shortcut. So that we could (hopefully) see what's wrong specifically.

If you mean to pin the folder to the jump list of File Explorer, then you could use "Pin to Quick Access" below to do so.

And if the folder bothers you, you can change the default icon before pinning it to the taskbar.

That tutorial is describing how pin items to the quick access, which is not what I did interprete from your startpost.

Maybe that was a misunderstanding caused by English not being my native language...
