Huh that's odd, because I definitely remember enabling XMP right after I built this. I'll have to check in the BIOS again and get back to you guys.

I didn't realize you had an AMD. It is probably called DOCP on AMD rather than XMP (on Intel).

My DRAM frequency went from 1066.4 MHz to 1799.6 MHz. I'm still not sure what the actual amount should be because I can't find it anywhere, even on the G Skillz page. I'm assuming what I have now is better than before, but in what ways would I notice this increase?

Maybe it's this: F4-3600C16D-16GTZRC - Specification - G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd.

I don't know why CPU-Z may have omitted the D. The XMP timings are the same.

I believe that in Gskill's naming convention F4 RAM is DDR4, 3600 is the frequency, and the first 16 is the latency.

I'm a little surprised that the RAM voltage wasn't set to 1.35V, if you are actually running the XMP in the screen shot (post 44).

Can I set the RAM voltage to 1.35 ? I'm assuming that's done in the BIOS. I took a screenshot of the SPD, if that helps:

It is dual channel ranm so when it says 1799.6 it is twice that, or 3600 MT/s, just as specified. (MT/s is the same as saying MHz, it is just MT/s is the more proper unit.

Setting bit to XMP should have automatically set the voltage to 2.35

Based on your usage patterns you probably don't need more memory unless you are going over 90% utilization.

You could.

But I'd expect it to be set automatically when you choose the XMP.

If the RAM is actually at 1.2V and is stable, it may not be necessary.
