I've been saving for a while, got a nice chunk ready for a new build, hopefully it'll happen within the next monthHonestly with the new releases just ahead for Intel and the possible early release of the Ryzen 9800X3D it might be wise to wait a little longer. I'm still sitting on an X570/5900X currently and waiting to upgrade. I skipped the Zen4 CPUs expecting/hoping for better Zen5 ones. I'm not a gamer so I really have no need for the X3D CPUs. Now I'm kinda waiting for the X870 motherboards to get released. Considering upgrading to a new motherboard and possibly going with the 9900x. But I'm no hurry currently. Getting to pay my home off.
A few months back I had intended on building my son a new gaming pc but then Zen5 came out, was not as good as expected and now those 7800X3D CPUs have gone up more than $100.
I had intended on a Z790/14700k to replace my daily driver but held off. I just have it as a spare system now.
