Buggy is true, look at my last post. The behavior has been going on since 2010 and they never changed the way it works to stop it, apparently. It's hard to find new complaints because the app is niche and nobody cares about it, by the looks?

As a fix, I would try disabling "auto‑save drafts". Annoying yes, but it may solve your issue.
After deleting everything in drafts folder (Also check the Outbox), baumgrenze

Perhaps they haven't been back on the forum. Knowing that it's a draft email doesn't really solve anything. Knowing it's a bug... Kill the bug, Get a new email client.

If the draft is causing this specific issue then yes it would 'solve' this particular issue. It of course does not resolve what the program does. 🤷‍♂️

What is the proper terminology when an email is started and all that is provided is the "To" address.

I simply deleted the offending entry.

Thanks to everyone for the support.

I started using SeaMonkey when Netscape ceased providing email. It was then a provided by Mozilla, a respected provider.

I've long used past emails as searchable documentation of past correspondence. At 86 I'm old enough to remember when a typewriter was a sophisticated communication device.

At 86, I can see time disappearing exponentially, at least in a figurative sense. I don't have the bandwidth to change email providers. A change should involve at least a rudimentary understanding of the providers trustworthiness.
