Android phone not recognised by Windows 11 desktop PC

My wifes Samsung A13 G isn't accessible on her windows 11 PC - it makes the ding dong sound on connection or removal but not showing up in my computer.

I have tried it on my PC and it is recognised.

I have tried different cabloes and same so not the cable.

I have enabled Developer options on the android phone and set USB settings to transferring files.

Not sure if this is an android issue or windows?

Any suggestions?

Have discovered 31/01/2022 Internet speed at router 41 mbps. At this PC 9. Internet is via wired ethernet.
So you're saying the phone not accessible through File Explorer?

Try uninstalling the phone driver from Device Manager and reconnect again.

I'd done that. I have found it works when set at transferring images but not files but as she's only likely to use it for images I suppose we can live with that, but it works on my PC with transferring files.

On my system listed as #1, both USB C to C and USB A to C work fine with my S20 Ultra. On system #2, USB A to C works, but USB C to C will connect and disconnect at random, and will only stay stable when USB mode is set to transfer pictures and media files.

Using a different phone (Motorola) both systems work as they should with both connection types. I was never able to figure out a solution for that issue.

I just connected my A53. It's never been connected to my PC. I get the connection sound followed by the popup on the PC screen on how I would like Windows to act when connected to this device. I choose to allow it to open and browse files. A new dialog opens on the Windows desktop but nothing is showing. I then open up the phone and see a notification there asking me to allow or deny data access. I choose "Allow" and boom up pops up the phone contents...internal storage and SD card.
I also have an S22+ that I connect routinely but have already gone through those initial connect settings.
