My phone cannot upgrade past Android 8.0, another reason I like Windows more, you can install it almost everywhere, except 24H2 that need a CPU with SSE4.2 I wouldn't want to replace my phone yet, since I would lose the score in all my games and not every phone has exactly the same GUI, it differs by manufacturer, so I would need some time to adapt to a new model. Yet another reason I don't like Android as much as I like Windows. Pity Microsoft blew it with Windows Phone. If there was still around, my phone would probably run Windows Phone, not Android.

Thank you for the recommendation of "MyPhoneExplorer." I have just installed and also made a contribution. It took just minutes to install and connect.

I have found Link to Windows (Phone Link) to be one of the more troublesome Windows programs I have ever used. It works for a while and then quits for months. It has been down for me for months, but decided today to reconnect. I won't be bothering with it anymore. The program you recommended is much, much better, with far more capabilities.

I just use onedrive (any other cloud service works - most offer at least 5GB free cloudspace) - that is a lot of photos.

There are plenty of android file transfer tools in google playstore that transfer over wifi as well. I use Fast File Transfer now and then.
