Hi there it
it's obvious to me but sounds plausible to loads -- phone from yet another horrible asian call centre (probably from country beginning with "I"), saying your vodafone sim is about to be de-activated and we are due to changes sending out new ones - so give email address and we'll send you a QR code to activate new esim.

DO NOT DO IT OR GIVE E MAIL ADDRESS. Just disconnect immediately -- !!!!! If Vodafone legitimately have a problem they would sendyou details - they have the relevant data of account holders- if some horrible "I----n" call centre is requesting this info -- obviously a SCAM. !!!

BE WARNED - !! So many people these days just get suckered into this sort of stuff. Once they've got control of your phone they've got the keys to the entire kingdom and within seconds your bank etc can be all compromised and money GONE just like that. !!!!

I've sent details to the City of London Police who are responsible for this stuff in the UK but they really don't seem to be bothered -- although they logged it -- not sure what a lot of police are actually for these days -- !!!!.

Cheers
jimbo
