This is the preview cumulative update that delivers UI responsiveness improvements, or Low Latency Profile (LLP). I just installed it, and everything seems fine except for occasional screen flashes that I didn't see previously. It looks almost like a misbehaving overclocked GPU in a game—which mine is, but this is definitely not happening in a game, only in the UI. I don't know if this is related to the update, but I backed out the OC anyway.
I don't know if Windows puts much of a load on the GPU, so this surprises me. I especially don't know why this would affect it adversely (even if overclocked, of course). I'm curious to know if this is a common issue. Maybe the GPU drivers need an update to play nicely with the LLP changes?
